This is an opportunity to serve as the technical architect for security across a portfolio of mission-critical embedded devices. You will own the security roadmap for next-generation GNSS receivers, working closely with engineering, cloud platform teams, and product management to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable. The role offers significant influence over technical direction while collaborating with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure architectures, workflows, and networking protocols for high-performance GNSS receivers to protect against evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives by identifying vulnerabilities, assessing system risks, and driving remediation efforts across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional partners to translate security requirements into practical, customer-focused product capabilities.
- Define software architectures that can be deployed across multiple operating systems and support future platform evolution.
- Partner with cloud platform teams and globally distributed R&D organizations to ensure secure communication and integration throughout the device ecosystem.
- Provide technical leadership on embedded security best practices and influence long-term product strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing secure workflows and implementing cybersecurity best practices in embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and communication protocols.
- Extensive hands-on experience with C/C++ development in embedded environments.
- Deep knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), including synchronization primitives such as mutexes, semaphores, and task scheduling.
- Solid experience working with Embedded Linux and Linux-based operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GNSS, GPS, or other high-precision positioning technologies.
- Knowledge of secure cloud-to-device communications and integration.
- Experience modernizing or transitioning legacy embedded systems to next-generation software architectures.
