Senior Property Development Manager
Location: Cape Town (Tokai)
Salary: R180,000 pm to R200,000 pm
Evergreen Lifestyle, one of South Africa’s leading retirement village developers, is entering a strong growth phase and is looking to appoint a commercially driven Senior Property Development Manager to take ownership of large-scale developments from concept through to delivery.
This role is suited to someone who operates with a high level of accountability and is comfortable driving complex projects across feasibility, planning, financial control, and construction execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage developments from feasibility through to completion
* Conduct and review development appraisals and financial models
* Secure planning approvals and manage regulatory processes
* Oversee design development, procurement, and contractor performance
* Drive construction timelines and ensure delivery against programme
* Manage project budgets, costs, and financial performance
* Report to executive stakeholders and investors with clear, data-driven insights
* Ensure projects meet required standards across quality, safety, and compliance
Requirements
* Minimum 15 year’s experience in property development or real estate project delivery
* Proven track record delivering large-scale residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in feasibility and financial modelling
* Solid understanding of planning processes, contracts, and regulatory frameworks
* Experience managing multiple stakeholders including investors, contractors, and local authorities
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making capability

* Commercially focused with the ability to think beyond execution
* Hands-on approach with the ability to drive delivery across all stages of development
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
* Strong communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
