Are you detail‑driven, process‑minded, and confident working with large datasets?

We’re partnering with a well‑established manufacturing company seeking a Data Administrator to support a high‑priority project. This is a 6‑week temporary role with a strong likelihood of extension to 6 months.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys structured work, accuracy, and problem‑solving – especially when dealing with large volumes of technical data.

About the Role

You will be responsible for mapping datasets against an external database to ensure all product requirements and technical information align. This work directly supports regulatory and project teams, ensuring compliance and accuracy across thousands of data entries.

The work itself isn’t difficult, but it is very high‑volume, highly detailed, and requires exceptional accuracy. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, using data dictionaries, spotting subtle differences, and digging into discrepancies as they arise.

You’ll be joining a lovely, supportive team, with a manager who is hands‑off and trusts you to get on with the work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map large internal datasets to an external database to ensure compliance.
  • Review thousands of entries with hundreds of fields, identifying any mismatches.
  • Investigate discrepancies using a “super‑sleuth” approach and refer to data dictionaries.
  • Engage with internal specialists when clarification is needed.
  • Maintain extremely high accuracy in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Proactively communicate any issues, risks, or blockers to the project team.
  • Support regulatory and project managers with accurate data updates.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Solid Excel skills (basic-intermediate).
  • Exposure to XML (highly beneficial).
  • Strong ability to understand and work with large datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under volume.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured, hands‑off environment.
  • Comfortable following technical rules and referencing data dictionaries.

Who This Role Would Suit

  • Graduates in IT, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Someone who has supported system migrations (e.g., preparing data for SAP).
  • A detail‑oriented administrator who enjoys investigative, precise work.
  • Anyone who loves pattern‑spotting, technical detail, and structured tasks.
