We’re looking for a highly organised, commercially minded operator to join a leading organisation supporting New Zealand’s automotive and commercial vehicle sector. This is not a traditional support role. You’ll act as a trusted partner to a senior leader-driving execution, improving performance visibility, and ensuring priorities translate into results.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive operational rhythm, performance reporting, and execution discipline across the business. You will sit at the centre of leadership activity-ensuring plans are delivered, performance is visible, and decisions are supported by clear insights.
Key Responsibilities
Execution & Leadership Cadence
- Drive weekly and monthly operating rhythms including agendas, reporting, and action tracking
- Track and monitor delivery of 90-day plans across leadership teams
- Ensure follow-ups are completed and priorities remain on track
- Identify risks and escalate issues early
Reporting & Performance Insights
- Build and maintain clear, concise executive dashboards
- Analyse business performance across revenue, productivity, margin, and profitability
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Consolidate reporting from multiple business units into executive summaries
Strategic & Project Support
- Support delivery of key business initiatives and strategic projects
- Track milestones, dependencies, and outcomes
- Prepare materials for leadership and executive updates
- Act as a central coordination point across workstreams
Executive & Stakeholder Support
- Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and briefing papers
- Support leadership meetings and 1:1 discussions with insights and talking points
- Coordinate across internal stakeholders to gather information
- Maintain strong communication and alignment across the business
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage diary, scheduling, and prioritisation for the General Manager
- Coordinate domestic and international travel where required
- Process expenses, documentation, and administrative workflows
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a coordination, commercial analyst, operations, consulting, or executive support role
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and simplify complex data
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting senior leaders or executive teams
- Exposure to financial or operational performance reporting
- Experience in automotive, logistics, or a multi-site operational environment
- Experience driving or supporting business improvement initiatives
