We’re looking for a high‑calibre Customer Service Administrator to support a busy national supplier on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an ASAP start within their procurement and distribution function, helping improve communication and service levels across the branch network.
About the role
You’ll be the go‑to contact for branch staff, warehouse teams, and the procurement lead. Your core focus is delivering fast, accurate, proactive customer service to internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to phone and email queries from branches
- Providing updates on stock availability, delivery timeframes, and shipment status
- Solving stock‑related issues and escalating where needed
- Helping clear the current backlog of customer requests
- Identifying ways to improve communication flow and customer experience
This team values someone who can bring ideas, identify gaps, and suggest improvements-not just follow existing steps.
About you
- Strong customer service background (branch-based, DC, supply chain, logistics, or similar is ideal)
- Comfortable handling varied queries and providing timely, accurate information
- Excellent communication skills and strong computer literacy
- Adaptable, solutions‑focused, and confident recommending improvements
- Able to learn new systems and product ranges quickly
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a bonus
- Industry/parts knowledge helpful but not essential
