This is a permanent role for an experienced people Leader.

We are partnering on this role with a large government agency. Their site is based just outside of the CBD on a major public transport transit route. There are also parking options that can be explored onsite.

Whilst there is flexibility for when life and work need to balance, fundamentally this role is based onsite 5 days per week.

The Role

You will be managing a Records Team of 25.

Primary function is to lead and support the Records Team and ensure the highest standards of accuracy and privacy relate to the data maintained by the records team.

Hours are 8hrs per day, Monday – Friday. There is some flexibility with start and finish times to work around your commute.

The role is multifaceted, with direct responsibility for:

  • Coaching and mentoring the team
  • Conducting regular performance reviews
  • Resolving performance issues
  • Monitoring budgets
  • Ensuring the team deliver their targets
  • Staying up to date with relevant legislation and best practices in records management

About You:

This is a hands-on Team Leader position, it would be great if you have public sector Records Management experience, but the real focus is finding a Team Leader that demonstrates strong people skills and who has an empathetic management style. Some who can lead by example and work closely alongside their team and who takes pride in the work their team does.

To be successful you will need:

· proven Team Leader with people management experience

· public sector experience

· excellent organisational skills

· high attention to detail and accuracy

· emotional intelligence and good communication skills

· competent across MS office suite and able to adapt to, and learn new software
