About the Role
This opportunity allows you to build and refine the engineering operations documentation foundation for a major transformation programme. You’ll own the frameworks, standards and tools that underpin quality assurance, compliance, and operational consistency, directly influencing how teams prevent outages, manage assets, and deliver exceptional service. Your work gains high visibility and becomes a lasting part of business‑as‑usual.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining engineering operation standards, procedures, policies and business rules, giving you deep engagement with operational, engineering and digital teams
- Translating complex electrical, operational and process information into clear, accurate and accessible controlled documents
- Creating and refining governance structures for approvals, change control and compliance alignment
- Mapping, simplifying and improving end‑to‑end business processes to support transformation and continuous improvement
- Using documentation tools (Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Lucid) to publish content that teams trust and can easily navigate
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure new standards are well understood and consistently applied

What You’ll Need to Bring
- Technical writing experience within engineering, utilities, infrastructure or similar complexity within large programmes of work
- Ability to analyse, document and simplify technical and operational processes
- Familiarity with controlled document environments, compliance, approvals and change control
- Experience using documentation and diagramming tools to present information clearly
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to accuracy, safety and quality
